March 2019 monthly newsletter

We've made it through the cold months, finally! RG is always happy when the weather and our building warm up a little from winter temps. The cold didn't keep our donors away. In February, we received  9.3 tons of donated materials that were diverted from the landfill. We also partnered with a new company out of High Point. We welcome Buzzispace to our mission of sustainability and we are excited to be able to offer their high quality scraps and materials to the public in our retail store.

March is a very exciting and active month for us. We have so many fun events planned!!

The next day, Saturday March 23rd, we will be hosting REPLAY at Center City Park. Beginning at 12PM and going until 5PM, we will have a pop-up creative reuse playground.
At REPLAY, a Pop-Up creative reuse playground, we want to create a day of fun and opportunities for makers and risk takers through the power of play by bringing a unstructured, free-form play space to downtown Greensboro.
Children of all ages will be able to use recycled and repurposed everyday materials to imagine & build, as they see fit. No one will tell them what to do or how to do it. As long as it is safe, there is no wrong way to play.
We trust our kids. Let’s empower them, and give them a safe space to figure things out on their own. Parents, we urge you to check your helicopters at the playground gate and let your child show you their creative world.

Reconsidered Goods was very inspired by Denver's "Free Range Playground". Thanks to a SPARK grant from Action Greensboro, RG is bringing this creative concept to our town for one day of fun.
The event is free, but a parent or guardian must be present at the playground check in to sign a waiver
